PROJECTS

HHC Renovations

The HHC officially begun it's renovations to the property at 713 E Bay Street in 2013. These renovations have continued in phases and we hope to have the majority of our construction completed by late 2017. Your time, resources and specialty services are always appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering with these renovations, please contact our office at 863-773-0034.

Food Drives Help Hardee

Year round HHC's Drive Out Hunger Food Pantry is supported by local businesses, individuals, churches, schools, and other civic groups.

The nation's largest one-day food drive by the National Association of Letter Carriers will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016, and the food collected in Hardee stays in Hardee!

Church Youth Group Food Packaging Projects

Church Youth Leaders commit their youth groups to help package food once a month for a period of 4-6 months at Hardee Help Center.

Past participating youth groups include, Florida's First Assembly of God, First Christian Church of Wauchula, and Oak Grove Baptist Church.

HHC Volunteer Work Days

Youth, adults, and seniors dedicate their time and energy to create positive changes to the HHC building and landscape on scheduled Community HHC Work Days.

Work Days are scheduled throughout the year. The next workday is scheduled for Spring 2017.

Do a food run!

Take a couple hours each month to do a food run! A food run involves picking up HHC's Food Rescue from Pizza Hut. On average 170 pounds of food is "rescued" a month!

We have the following runs that still need volunteers. If you can do one of these runs, consider being one of our "runners"!

Shift #1: Mondays 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Shift #2: Wednesdays 3:00pm - 4:00pm

TIME COMMITMENT: 4 weeks of of either shift #1 or shift #2
