Frequently Asked Questions

If you cannot find the answer to your question here, please refer to the Coordinator’s Manual, or email your questions to info@hardeehelpcenter.com.

How do I sign my organization/group up to host a Drive Out Hunger Food Drive?

Click on Start a Drive above. Once we receive your registration, we’ll send you a confirmation email.

Do you have food or money collection containers to use? Where can I get them?

Yes, we have both money and food collection containers. However, we have limited supplies. If you are hosting a large drive and are in need of multiple containers, we can discuss the best way to arrange this. You are also welcome to use your own food donation containers.

What should I do with my food and money donations when my drive is done?

Food and monetary donations are accepted Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. It is highly recommended to schedule a time to drop-off to insure a staff member will be available to direct and possibly assist with unloading the donations.

What else does Hardee Help Center provide for my drive?

Basic materials for coordinating a drive, and hunger awareness material are found below.

  • Collection Container - A container with a wrap can be signed out and borrowed for the purpose of collecting food donations for Hardee Help Center's Drive Out Hunger campaign.

  • Yard Signs - A yard sign can be signed out and borrowed for the purpose of promoting your food drive.

  • Food Bag Items - Fill a bag with specific food items and deliver to a Collection Site or to the Hardee Help Center.

  • Talking Points - (Children and Elderly) Good nutrition, particularly in the first three years of life, is important for establishing a good foundation that has implications for a child’s future physical and mental health, academic achievement, and economic productivity. Unfortunately, food insecurity is an obstacle that threatens that critical foundation.  Use these talking points to help facilitate discussion.

  • Other Resources

  • Feeding America: Hunger in America  (Video) - "What is food insecurity? 1 in 7 Americans struggles to get enough to eat. In fact, hunger or food insecurity exists in virtually every community in the United States. Learn more about how hunger impacts the country as a whole."

  • Map the Meal Gap - Food insecurity exists in every county and congressional district in the country. But not everyone struggling with hunger qualifies for federal nutrition assistance.
