Hardee Help Center Drive Out Hunger Campaign places the power to make a meaningful difference in the fight to end hunger directly with our Campaign Sponsors, and in your hands. The efforts of everyone involved make a huge difference in the amount and variety of foods we're able to distribute.
Anyone can host a Drive Out Hunger Food Drive.
Each drive can be custom-made to fit your needs and abilities, whether it’s hosted by you, your family, a large corporation or small church group. You set the goal and the duration. You provide the location and imagination. Hardee Help Center supplies everything else you need to help provide food to Hardee County families.
The best place to start is to register your drive by clicking on “Start a Drive."
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign my organization up for a Drive Out Hunger Food Drive?
Click on Start a Drive above. Once we receive your registration, we’ll send you a confirmation email.
Do you have food or money collection containers to use? Where can I get them?
Yes, we have both money and food collection containers. However, we have limited supplies. If you are hosting a large drive and are in need of multiple containers, we can discuss the best way to arrange this. You are also welcome to use your own food donation containers and print off a Collection Flyer and attach to your container.
What else does Hardee Help Center provide for my drive?
Additional basic materials for coordinating a drive, and hunger awareness material are found below.
Promotional Flyer - Use this flyer to announce your food drive at your location.
Collection Container - A container with a banner can be signed out and borrowed for the purpose of collecting food donations for Hardee Help Center's DOHC.
Activities Calendar - The Activities Calendar is an interactive way to help raise awareness and money to help those in need in our community. This project provides 30 days worth of small awareness-raising activities.
Brown Paper Bags (Hunger Hero Challenge) - Use a brown paper bag to complete the Hunger Hero Challenge. Fill a bag with specific items and deliver to a Collection Site or to the Hardee Help Center.
A Place at the Table (Video Trailer) - "A Place at the Table tells the powerful stories of three such Americans, who maintain their dignity even as they struggle just to eat. In a riveting journey that will change forever how you think about the hungry..."
What should I do with my food and money donations when my drive is done?
Food and monetary donations are accepted Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. It is highly recommended to schedule a time to drop-off to insure a staff member will be available to direct and possibly assist with unloading the donations.
What are the most needed food items?
Although cash donations are the easiest and most efficient way to donate, we appreciate each and every food donation as well. Our Most Needed Items are meat and protein, canned fruits and vegetables, complete meals, grains, personal hygiene items, and cleaning supplies.
