A Vision Becomes a Reality

Upon receiving a Venture Grant from United Way, and support from the Hardee County Ministerial Association and several local churches, the Hardee Help Center was conceived in June, 2000.  The City of Wauchula has generously given a 20 year lease at $1 a year, including utilities, to house this ministry in the Old City Library on the corner of 8th Avenue and Palmetto Street.

Below is a brief list of our supporters:

  • Hardee County Ministerial Association

  • City of Wauchula

  • Mosaic

  • United Way of Central Florida

  • Salvation Army

  • State of Florida

  • Local Churches

  • Local Clubs and Civic Organizations

  • Local Businesses

  • Individuals

Most of our funding from United Way, Salvation Army, the State of Florida, and Grants is designated to be used only with our Emergency Assistance Program for the needy, with very little going toward operating expenses.
