Working the vision

The Hardee Help
Center
is dedicated to working together with community agencies and churches to assist folks in our county who are experiencing hardship by offering emergency food, clothing, household items, is related in significant ways to both the community and local churches. We are an extension ministry of the Hardee County Ministerial Association, a United Way Agency, the local Salvation Army Unit, and a Department of Children & Family Services Community Partner.

The HHC Director and Board have created a ministry that they hope will partner with other local agencies and churches to more effectively meet the emergency needs of folks in Hardee County.

What we do

Financial Support

Since our beginning in June, 2000, the HHC has helped over 1,400 families with over $201,337 in emergency economic relief and an additional 698 families with $153,394+ in disaster relief.  Our Assistance Program is largely funded by grants and program dollars from outside the county.  We must raise all of our operating costs from within Hardee County. So your help is desperately needed.

Food Ministry Donations

We have assisted 3,708+ families with food and other necessities.  Organizations, businesses, service & civic clubs, churches, and any other group is encouraged to have regular collections of food or funds to purchase food for our Food Ministry.  A regularly updated Current Needs list of needed food and household items is available upon request.

A verse to remember

"... he who honors God has mercy on the needy"

Proverbs 14:31

We Need Volunteers!!!

The Hardee Help Center needs volunteers to help in many ways including help in our Thrift Store.

In addition, we also need men with vehicles or trailers to assist us with the pick up/transport of furniture and other donated items.
